Ankama has identified a number of DOFUS accounts whose security settings have been deemed insufficient. In order to prevent possible attacks, these accounts are now protected by the new DOFUS account security system. Ankama Shield has been activated on certain accounts for their own security.

A proxy has been detected on your computer.
A proxy is a system (hard or software) which filters internet communication (for the purposes of security).
The information requested in the pop up window concerns the PROXY (type, address, port, login, password).
If you are using a public computer (university, workplace, cyber-café etc.), the network administrator may give you this information.
In the case of home computers, some programs may act as proxys (Antivirus, Firewall, net nanny, download accelerator, etc). Please refer to the program's user documentation.
However, we recommend that you ask someone who knows the installation system, like the netword administrator.
If you make a mistake, the window will reappear once. After two attempts, it disappears. You will still be able to TRY AGAIN simply by restarting DOFUS.
- If you're sure you do not have a proxy, uncheck the box "Activate Internet access with Proxy" and click OK.
- If you think you may have a proxy, and you do not know how to change the settings, you should be able to find this information in the configured browser menu (Internet Explorer or Firefox).
Below are the instructions to find them:
- with Internet Explorer: Tools>Internet Options>Connections>LAN Settings>Section 'Proxy Server' => This is where you'll find the address and port.
- with Firefox: Tools>Options>Advanced>Network>Section 'Connection'>Settings => This is where you'll find the address, port and type of proxy.
The network administrator may give you the name and password or you can find them in the software user's manual.
As for the type HTTP, SOCKS4, or SOCKS5, test all three of them and restart the game updater if you can no longer change the settings.
