Ankama has identified a number of DOFUS accounts whose security settings have been deemed insufficient. In order to prevent possible attacks, these accounts are now protected by the new DOFUS account security system. Ankama Shield has been activated on certain accounts for their own security.

DOFUS » Bugs/minor problems » I can't talk in the DOFUS chat channels. Is this normal?
There are three possible explanations:
The chat channels may be bugging. In this case, select and deselect the channel you want to chat in. This should resolve the problem.
There may be a display problem. In this case you'll have to empty DOFUS' cache as follows:
- launch DOFUS (you don't need to log in)
- click on the small key on the top right of the DOFUS window (options menu)
- click on the 'Empty the cache' tab
- a pop up will request confirmation, click 'Yes'
- The game will relaunch automatically.
It may be that your character has been temporarily sanctioned by a moderator. This sanction may apply to you alone or to a whole map in order to limit flooding.
In this case, you'll just have to be patient. You'll soon be able to communicate again.
