Since last Saturday, April 2nd, we have faced several successive cases of mass disconnections and unusually high latency on our servers, sometimes causing chain reactions which lead to some servers crashing, and, in unusual cases, data loss. 

After the disturbances at our host last weekend, we first suspected that these problems were linked to a past disturbance within their architecture – as we communicated to you earlier – but our suspicions were diverted to another hypothesis, which we have recently confirmed.

Following a problem during the afternoon of the 25th of August, the following DOFUS 2.0 servers will be rolled back to the data backup taken during the morning of the 25th of August.

Aermyne (rolled back to 11:00 CEST*)
Zatoishwan (rolled back to 11:10 CEST)
Nomekop (rolled back to 11:20 CEST)

Further information pertaining to this rollback (reallocation of subscription gifts etc.) will be posted as and when it becomes available.

Next to a chat problem, that is growing memory use on the server at heavy rate, to avoid a server crash we must reboot the server to fix the problem and avoid data losses.

Following a power outage at our hoster around 11am on Thursday 2 July 2009, all activity on game servers, Ankama websites, as well as several other major Internet sites, suddenly came to an end.

The servers were being backed up automatically around 11am Thursday when the problem occurred, and unfortunately this procedure could not be completed.

We were therefore obliged to rollback the servers to the backup which was done at 6am this morning, with the exception of the Oto Mustam server, which was backed up at 9am this morning.
