What is the Ankama Launcher?
This portal gives you access to the whole Ankamaverse and lets you experience one-of-a-kind adventures in the Krosmoz.
Use the Ankama Launcher to:
- Download, update and access our games through a single platform.
- Launch multiple games or multiple instances of the same game simultaneously and jump easily from one to the other.
- Access the entire Ankamaverse in a single click, with all the latest news and updates so you never miss a thing!
- Watch video on demand (VOD) and read webtoons.
Once you've downloaded the Ankama Launcher and installed the games, you'll have one shortcut per game on your computer desktop. These shortcuts will open the tab for each game and launch a session with all active accounts.
System Requirements
While it is possible to install and use the Launcher and our games on Linux, we're unable to provide technical support for this operating system, given the unique characteristics of each installation.
Recovering Logs
What is a log?
A log is a text file with a chronological record of all of the events that have affected a computer system (software, application, server, etc.) and all of the actions that have resulted from those events.
For the Ankama Launcher, logs can help us to determine what errors have occurred and at what time. They are an essential source of information, and Ankama Support will ask you to include them with every ticket you submit – so remember to send them along with your first message.
Recovering logs from Ankama Launcher
Follow these steps to recover the logs from Ankama Launcher:
- Open the Launcher settings > "Assistance" section.
- Click on "Open log folder".
- Attach the "Application.log" and "Settings" files to your Support request, without modifying them in any way.
If you can't open the Launcher and you are running Windows
The default path is:
C:\Users\[Windows username]\AppData\Roaming\zaap
For the Steam Launcher, the default path is:
C:\Users\[Windows username]\AppData\Roaming\zaapi
Both log files can be found in this folder.
If you can't open the Launcher and you are on a Mac
The default path is:
/Users/[your username]/Library/Logs/zaap
For the Steam Launcher, the default path is:
/Users/[your username]/Library/Logs/zaapi
For the "Settings" file, the path to use is:
/Users/[your username]/Library/Application Support/zaap.
Depending on your settings, the "Library" folder may not be visible. In this case, press the "Option" key, open the "Go" menu to allow you to see hidden folders, then navigate to the various application folders.
Recovering game logs
Follow these steps to recover the game logs:
- Open the game options.
- In the "Game folder" section, click the "Open the log folder" button.
- Attach the game log file(s) to your Support request.

/!\ The Ankama Launcher installation folder can only be changed at the time of installation. However, the Support team recommends against modifying this parameter to ensure better software stability. You can change the installation folder for each game, but Support recommends that you install them on the same physical drive where the Launcher is installed.
How do I add one or more accounts to the Launcher?
Do you play on multiple accounts and want to avoid having to launch each one manually?
The Launcher lets you save them and launch the game with all your accounts.
To do this:
- Click on the avatar at the top right.
- Click "Account Management".
- Click "Add an account".
- Follow the instructions on the browser page that opens.
Accounts can be activated or deactivated from this interface, but also from the "multi-account" interface in each game that allows multi-account play.
/!\ Caution: If you do not log into a game with one or more of your accounts for over 30 days, the Launcher connection token will no longer be valid and you will have to log them back in.
There's an issue with the Launcher.
Launcher not opening? Not updating?
Here's what to do. First, restart the Launcher.
If the issue persists, make sure the Launcher is completely shut down by checking the system tray. If necessary, uncheck the "Minimize to system tray" option and use the task manager to verify that the Launcher is completely shut down (in the event of a crash, it may keep running in the background).
If it isn't shut down, end the corresponding task(s).
If the Launcher still isn't working properly after completing these steps, uninstall and reinstall the Launcher by following the procedure below for your operating system.
Windows
- Fully uninstall the Ankama Launcher.
- Make sure there are no versions of the Ankama Launcher still installed by going to the control panel, then "Uninstall a program".
- If a version of the Launcher is found in the control panel, uninstall it.
- Search for the keywords "Ankama", "Zaap", "Zaapi", "Dofus", "Dofus-dofus3", "Wakfu ", "Retro" and "Waven" (one at a time) in your file explorer, and delete all files and folders with these names.
- Then, download and install Ccleaner. Run an error analysis (Registry section) and fix any errors, then restart the computer.
Download the Ankama Launcher again and install it in the specified default folder, then install the game.
As mentioned above, if the game is not installed on the same drive as the Launcher, the Launcher may not recognize it. Therefore, we recommend that you install the game and the Launcher on the same drive.
Mac
- Fully uninstall the Ankama Launcher.
- Search for the keywords "Ankama", "Zaap", "Zaapi", "Dofus", "Dofus-dofus3", "Wakfu ", "Retro" and "Waven" (one at a time) in your file explorer, and delete all files and folders with these names.
- Then use a software tool like OnyX to empty your Mac's cache.
- Restart your computer.
Download the Ankama Launcher again and install it in the specified default folder, then install the game.
As mentioned above, if the game is not installed on the same drive as the Launcher, the Launcher may not recognize it. Therefore, we recommend that you install the game and the Launcher on the same drive.
If the issue is still there, we encourage you to report it by creating a Support ticket and attaching the Launcher logs.
There's an issue with one of the games.
We recommend that you start by repairing the game. To do this:
• Turn off automatic updates.
• If the game with the issue is installed, go to the General tab in the Game Options for that game and click "Begin repair".
If the issue persists, try following the instructions for cleaning up and reinstalling software.
If the problem persists, we encourage you to report it by creating a Support ticket and attaching the Launcher logs.

Please check your operating system and graphics card drivers for updates. To do this, you'll need to visit the website of your computer and/or graphics card manufacturer.

I started installing multiple Ankama games, but I can't download them simultaneously. Is that normal?
Yes. If multiple games are installing, the downloads happen one after another, not simultaneously.
What happens if I close the Ankama Launcher while a game is updating?
Don't panic! The download is automatically paused. An automatic repair will be initiated when you reopen the Launcher.
I'm experiencing a performance or stability problem
If there's a performance issue that is preventing you from downloading or launching the game, try changing the Launcher settings, specifically in the "Performance" section.
1. Click the settings icon in the top bar of the Launcher.
2. Go to the "Performance" section.
3. Turn off any settings that don't seem useful to you.
I'm getting an "Aborted" error.
Are you having problems installing a game or an update? Does the installation/download get interrupted, followed by an error message in the launcher: "AN ERROR OCCURRED. Aborted"?
This type of problem occurs when the Launcher can't connect to the Internet.
Please check the following first:
• the state of your network connection,
• your router or modem configuration, and
• the configuration of your firewall, proxy, and any other security software (antivirus, parental controls, etc.).
Then, run a test from a different internet connection other than your own.
If the problem persists after checking these items, please limit your download speed to try and install the game and update.
1. Go to the Launcher's settings.
2. In the "Performance" tab, turn on "Limit download speed", then reduce the download speed, even to the minimum setting.
Theoretically, the best speed is your actual download speed, but sometimes a lower speed works better.
If this doesn't resolve your problem, we encourage you to report it by creating a Support ticket and attaching the Launcher logs.
[MAC] How to fix the error "Unable to open due to malicious software" that prevents an application from running
First of all, you should only follow these instructions if you do not download or install questionable applications on your Mac. Avoid accessing sites that may compromise the security of your data.
This "can't be opened because Apple cannot check it for malicious software" launch limitation can be avoided if you allow third-party applications to be downloaded and run, other than from the App Store and developers identified by Apple.

- In this folder, delete the "certificate" and "keydata" folders.
- Restart the Launcher and log in to your accounts again.
Mac
