Account theft is when one or more players access your account without your permission.
Some indications of account theft are:
- You can still access your account, but when you connect, you get the message "You have just disconnected a character that was already using that account".
- You can still access your account, but there are kamas or items missing.
- You can no longer access your account.
How to avoid it ?
An Ankama account is private and personal. You are not allowed to loan or exchange an account, nor give one away, sell one, or buy one.
You should use a personal e-mail address on your Ankama account. Don't use a friend's e-mail, or that of a family member or guildmate.
Your login, your password, your secret answer and the login details of your e-mail account must remain secret. Noone can know this information. Ankama reserves the right not to offer support to, and to definitively suspend accounts that fail to respect Ankama's rules.
We'd like to remind you that Ankama offers two free protection systems to prevent the theft of your account even if the thief knows your login information. These systems are called Ankama Authenticator and Ankama Shield.
